Why do most people feel their own opinions are worthless?

I have found that many people are willing to post their own opinions if — and only if:

  • They can do so without paying a penny;

  • They can do so without needing to learn how to spell or write coherent sentences;

  • There are many bells and whistles and flashing lights to make them feel as though they are a celebrity;

– perhaps there are more reasons… but it’s not the main point I am trying to get across. The main issue is: the result of all these factors adds up to one thing — people apparently feel their own opinions are worthless… because otherwise they would not place such little value on their said opinions. If they did place more value on their own opinions, they would realize that these bells and whistles and flashing lights are plain and simple distracting.

If you want to share your opinion with me, why would you be willing to have something bothering and/or distracting me while I am trying to read it?

If you do not value your own opinion, then why should I?
