Does LinkedIn Want to Occupy Your Website?

In the coming weeks you will see a new landmark domain “Dispute Resolution” case in India.

A couple weeks ago, LinkedIn started a “Reverse Domain Name Hijacking” attempt against linked.in — this means they are trying to use their trademark against domain name owners who they want to take the domain name away from without any right to the domain name. Usually companies that do this are so large and powerful that they attempt to bully the domain name owners into handing over the domain name.

In my opinion, we must not allow big corporations to assume control of our natural right to speak natural language — that would be allowing them to assume control of our ability to communicate with each other as human beings! 8O
