Report about LinkedIn Reverse Domain Name Hijacking Case on “For Immediate Release” Podcast

The reverse domain name hijacking case involving LinkedIn, Inc.’s attempt to take over control of the Indian domain name linked.in has been reported on several blogs and other news websites (see, e.g., “Does LinkedIn Want to Occupy Your Website?“).

Now this news also has been featured in a short (3-minute) commentary on the “For Immediate Release” podcast episode 700 (ca. 39:00 – 42:00).

I cannot overemphasize how important it is to defend the use of natural language against such unwarranted attacks from people and companies who misappropriate their intellectual property rights and attempt to apply them in situations where such rights simply have no validity.
